Our approach to production and supply chain
Our approach is customer, people and planet centric with a strong focus on maintaining quality throughout the entire processes. Our processes flow are as follows:
1. Crop Selection
We select quality crops and varieties after conducting extensive trials and tests before we approved them for commercial production.
2. Infrastructures
We grow our crops in high-tech greenhouse structures and in shade nets.
3. Hygiene And Sanitation
We select quality crops and varieties after conducting extensive trials and tests before we approved them for commercial production.
4. Cultivation Media
We use the following cultivation media: Pumice and soil that are pathogen free, good drainage capability and cation exchange capacity as per crop requirements.
5. Propagation
We have an advanced propagation unit, managed by qualified professionals. We use plug liners system, coirpeat and peatmoss to achieve 98% rooting success for our customers rooted orders.
6. Planting
We have experienced Agronomists with good track record on land preparation and crop planting dynamics for our wide range of ornamental cutting among others. We have planting standard operating procedures for different ornamental cuttings.
7. Crop Development
We have mastered the different crop development practices for different ornamental crops to ensure we supply quality cuttings to our customers.
8. Crop Nutrition
To produce healthy cuttings all year round we have experienced crop nutritionist and modern fertigation systems.
9. Crop Protection
We use integrated pest management strategies that include using natural enemies, bio-extracts, physical control and chemical intervention as the last option to manage pest and diseases challenges.
10. Harvesting
We have developed harvesting protocols, trained harvesting team and tools and equipment’s to ensure we supply quality cuttings to our customers. Our quality controllers conduct real time quality checks during harvesting activities.
11. Postharvest
We have an objective post-harvest protocols for different crops that help cuttings retain freshness and original quality.
12. Order Processing
We process our customers orders as per their specifications either rooted or unrooted cuttings within the agreed time.
13. Grading And Packing
We conduct inspections to all our cuttings before packing them to ensure quality is top notch. We pack cuttings using quality materials to achieve customers specifications.
14. Transport
We have trucks with cold rooms provision that we monitor change in temperature to ensure no overheating is expected during transport to the airport.
